SNOW DAY!❄️⛄
There is absolutely NOTHING like a snow day. Everything is beautiful outside and a crammed schedule is suddenly …free! We were so glad we could remain open for most of the day as a cozy break from the snow for those living on campus. However, snow brings other things like treacherous roads and dumbstruck drivers (everyone else, of course), which means we aren’t always able to make it happen. I hope all future snow days are like this past Tuesday!
Digital Humanities Workshops
Stop by for a workshop with our Digital Humanities Librarian, Claudia Berger! Every Thursday, 1-1:45 in the Lower Level classroom E1. Topics left in the semester:
Feb. 22: Make a digital exhibit of Ukrainian memes
Feb 29: Making environmental art
Mar 7: The oracle for transfeminist technologies
The Sarah Lawrence College Podcast 🎧
Our Library Coordinator for creative Services, Tim Kail, has worked incredibly hard to create excellent content for the Library’s podcast. The podcast is doing so well, we’ve rebranded as the Sarah Lawrence College Podcast! Expect the same great content, but with even wider coverage of diverse perspectives across campus.
Creative Reuse Sculpture Installation
Wander around the Main Library to find various sculptures by Jean Shin’s class with the theme “creative reuse” of material that would otherwise be thrown out. Nearby each sculpture will be an exhibit label describing the work’s material and inspiration.
We’re hiring!
We have 1-2 openings waiting for our new Circulation Assistants! All undergraduate international students and work-study students can apply through MySLC here. Feel free to send any questions to [email protected].
